  Sports and Recreation

  JAIST is located on a hill in the city of Nomi in Ishikawa Prefecture, at the heart of the Ishikawa Science Park. Our beautiful campus enjoys splendid view across nearby counties and over the ocean.

     

  Campus

  The area provides us with recreational activities in every season, including several ski resorts, seaside parks, hot springs and recreational parks in its vicinity.

  Within 20km of JAIST is the city of Kanazawa, which hosts numerous cultural events all year round.

  Tennis

  The on-campus tennis courts with night lighting apparatus offer day-and-night opportunities to relax and recover from the fatigue of research work.

  Rackets and other equipment for tennis are available for free.

  

   

  
  Ski & Snowboard

  Several ski areas are located within one-hour distance by car.

  Those students from tropical countries can enjoy skiing after taking a training course for beginners for half a day. Ski and snowboard equipment items are available for borrowing from JAIST.
