Green Devices Research Center Research for revolution of production methods in the field of high technologyThis center was established in April 2011. Its aim is to conduct the essential research and development needed for the production of electronic and energy devices and to establish groundbreaking technologies including a new liquid process for resource and energy savings. It is imperative to explore innovative environmental and energy technologies in order to achieve the national target of a 25% reduction from the 1990 greenhouse gas level by 2020. The center is committed to research into breakthrough technologies that will revolutionalize production methods in the field of high technology, with the aims of putting them into practical use and reflecting the research outcomes in education.
Objectives
Our aim is to create the “Factor 10” technologies by conducting research and development and provide an advanced level of education with regard to them. This would prove unparalleld in improving efficiency in the use of resources and energy in electronic and energy device production.
Activities
We conduct research and development of the production methods for cutting-edge electronic and energy devices utilizing liquid process technology. Detailed activities are as follows.
- Research and development of functional liquid materials related to the technology mentioned above
- Research and development of devices using these materials
- Establish the technology basis for commercialization of the devices
- Collection, sending out, and systematization of information concerning liquid process technology (e.g. printable electronics)
